Arduino with Linux

Does anyone have experience with Labview for Linux using the

LV Interface for Arduino toolkit?  Since there is no 

evaluation package for Linux, I am unable to test this on Linux 

and am reluctant to purchase it without some confirmation that 

it performs equal or close to the Windows version.

While I haven't tried it out most of the core functionality of the LabVIEW toolkit is based off of NI-VISA which works on several distributions of Linux (http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/1074/lang/en). VI Package Manager for Linux is also available now which was a previous limitation to using the toolkit on Linux:http://jki.net/vipm/download.

I heard if you call NI tech support they have a Linux eval.  Not sure if student or 7 days.
