LIFA on LabVIEW 8.6

I got LabVIEW 8.6 and the VIPM says that LIFA is not compatible with this labview version.

Is this correct?

I already installed the runtime engine 2011 sp 1 but that did not solve the problem.

LIFA is built for LV2009 or later.  The runtime engine does not matter sicne you need to ues LIFA in the LV development environment to write code.

You can try LIFA for free using the evaluation verison of LabVIEW 2012.  You can also get a non commercial version of LabVIEW + and Arduino Uno for $50 here.
