LabVIEW 2009 Run-Time Engine and Arduino LIFA

I am interested in checking out the Labview interface for Arduino (LIFA) but only have an older version of labview 8.2

which I plan to update in a few months from now.

On the Arduino tools page it recommends:

" Before installing please note:
If you don't have LabVIEW 2009 or later, download and install the LabVIEW 2009 Run-Time Engine."

Will loading this mess up my v8.2 labview from working correctly on my PC?

I want to try the Arduino interface but don't want to trash my legal copy of 9.2 labview

Please advise

It should not destroy your LV8.2 installation. But don't load the driver cd that will update also the drivers for 8.2. Probably without destroying but anyhow changing your system.
