I have a new mac with Lion OS (10.7). However, I cannot install the current VIPM 2010 tool from JKL onto the mac. Is there another way to install the LIFA toolkit/add-on without VIPM on my mac?
BTW: I've had success installing and using LIFA on a windows 7 computer -- so please no suggestions to switch to a windows machine
.
Thanks for any assistance, Iggy

My arduino uno + inventors kit just arrived in the mail and I'm currently trying to do the same on my MBPro 10.7... To my knowledge, there is also no NI-VISA support for 10.7, either. Will let you know if I find something.

I take back the comment on NI-VISA drivers, the BETA for 10.7 NI-VISA drivers can be found here

Ok, I got it. Two things you need to do, add "localhost" to the Machine Access List in VI Server (localhost screenshot) and give Write permissions to the folder "Preferences" in /Library/Preferences . Also, at the top of VI Server preferences, check the TCP/IP box. I now have the toolkit successfully installed on my MPB with Lion, and I used this thread to help. Let me know if anything's unclear!
