On the same palette as the image reading VIs (Programming >> Graphics & Sound >> Graphics Formats), there is an "Unflatten Pixmap VI." This will return a 2D array of image data that you can wire to the MathScript node. In LabVIEW 8.5, MathScript has an imread command. This function will read an image file from within MathScript.
