Decades old bug still cause irreparable scale corruption for graphs

I have reported this before and I wonder why it is still not fixed. Just wondering if it is still in the bug database.

Basically any change in font alignment on graphs causes permanent scale damage. (well, we can "undo", unless we don't notice the problem right away).

Related issue Note also that e.g. the plot legends are left aligned, which is a poor choice, especially when resized horizontally and the names differ in length.
