Second phase of LabVIEW 2024 Q3 Beta Program

The LabVIEW 2024 Q3 Beta installer is now available for Windows and Linux. Note that modules and localized versions are not included in this Beta program. The Windows version is available to everyone, but only customers with active subscription or SSP will be able to download the Linux version.

Installation

  • To download, visit https://www.ni.com/en-us/support/downloads/software-products/download.labview-beta.html
  • Activate with serial number L12V86837.
    • There's a problem with activating from the opening dialog in LabVIEW, but activating from the NI License Manager is working.
  • Warnings:
    • This installer will replace LabVIEW 2024 Q1 with the Beta.
    • NI recommends that you install the Beta on a dedicated test machine or VM.
    • You will need to uninstall the Beta if you want to install the release version of LabVIEW 2024 Q3 on the same machine, since NIPM does not support upgrading from the Beta.

New and Changed Features

Known Issues

  • You cannot directly upgrade from the Beta to the release version of LabVIEW 2024 Q3. You need to uninstall the Beta first.
  • You may need to activate from the NI License Manager (instead of the dialog in LabVIEW) for the serial number to work.
  • The splash screen and About box do not clearly state that this is a Beta. They do, however, show the version as 24.3d175.
  • When you edit an icon, LabVIEW is erroneously opening an older version of the Icon Editor that has reduced functionality.
  • Some TLS functionality doesn’t work. Refer to Beta Change: TLS Updated to OpenSSL 3.0 - NI Community for more details.
  • For known issues about the new features, refer to their individual posts.

Thank you for your participation! I look forward to seeing your feedback.
