Driver Updates Sans Software

I don't have the control software for my LMS NXT set--my application is pure LabVIEW. Is there a way for me to apply firmware updates to my brick? I see a way to read the current version and ways to download files, but nothing specific about applying firmware.

There probably is a way to load firmware via LabVIEW, but why would you want to when Bricxx, etc. have easy ways to do it?

I only had access to LabVIEW for this purpose when I first made the post.  I did eventually find another program to do it, but I would like to know if this possible in case I need to do it later.
