Where can I find the 7.1.5 update for the LabView software? (can be the windows version)
If there is no such thing, is it possible to use the mass compile tool in Mindstorms NXT mac software. (I found that it is possible to run it, (using the useful, but incomplete, debug mode.) but it complains about a missing VI "GetDateInTimeSecsCompatVI.vi" where is that found? Other than the missing vi it works perfectly. (But is password protected so I can't edit it... good move NI! Now idiots can't mess up the mass compile tool.))

Andrew,
There is no 7.1.5 version of LabVIEW 7. There is LabVIEW 7.1.1, which is a free upgrade to LabVIEW 7.1 and can be found on this Drivers and Updates page. That being said, what are you trying to accomplish with a mass compile?
Cheers,
Mark

The reason I was asking is that the Mindstorms NXT software is version 7.1.5.
I am trying to mass compile the labview 7.1.1 directory so it is compatible with 7.1.5.

(I am trying to make the Mindstorms NXT software act like labview so I can use labview on the mac. I thought it would be easy as replacing the engine folder with the LabVIEW folder but then it says some thing like "resource is in the incorrect version")

As I have not got a reply in a couple of days, (not complaining or anything 🙂 ) I shall pose a new question.
Where can I find the "GetDateTimeInSecsCompatVI.vi" if I installed labview SE on a windows XP computer?

Andrew,
I'm not sure if that VI gets installed with Signal Express. On my machine it was installed with LabVIEW DSC. You should simply try searching for it. I recommend the search program Everything. Its better than the built in search in XP in about every way. Not to keep you from trying, but what you are attempting may not work and is not supported. Good luck!

I thought that it wasn't supported but might as well try! 😄 (I could use windows, but why use it when you could modify Mindstorms mac and make it LabVIEW?) Thanks, I will try that search program. (I haven't registered LabVIEW so maybe it doesn't install that vi until you do.)

I searched and it came up with nothing, and masscompile works on windows, but it complains when you try to run it on the mac. I wonder why that is happening... I shall keep trying 🙂

I figured out mass compile (didn't do what I wanted but oh well 🙂 ) and now I am trying to fix the rest of it. I have two questions, how do you activate " Show Controls and Functions" in the window menu, and where are the functions/controls stored? (Right now it doesn't do anything if I click on it (when it should bring up a window), even if I click twice or more, but it is active (meaning not grayed out.))

DONE! I searched around and found out that the edit palette menu item was still there AND IT WORKED! Now I can make blocks! Thanks for the help! (And sorry for all the exclamation points...) 🙂
Edit: I just figured out that the "Show controls and functions" is still not working, so I have to use the edit palette every time. (No biggie, but I would like to use the controls menu item.)

I have one last question, am I allowed to share my findings in a new topic? Thanks!
