Solved!
Go to solution

Hello All,

How do you change the colormap on the new 2009 3D Graph Control!!?? It lets you input a color matrix, but no map. Red->Black isn't enough... Anyone?

Thanks,

 Justin Reina

Hi Justin,

for a 3D Scatter Plot I can create a property node "ColorRamp", where you can set colors with their indices. It's quite resembling the corresponding area of the properties dialog...

Perfect! I saw that colorRamp, but couldn't figure it out exactly.

Why don't they just call it colormap?...

Thanks,

 Justin

Hi Justin,

"Why don't they just call it colormap?"

Because it's more than that? Smiley Wink

In the old 3d Surface there was an W imput where it could be inserted an weight array to module the color of the surface. Does the 2009 3D grap or 3D surface have a similar imput?

 Thanks

Hi Leo,

I couldn't locate the old example for what you were wanting, can you post a screenshot?  Also, does this ColorRamp Property not work for you?

I can do better and give you a working example and screen shots.

See this thread for a working example (using th CW 3D graph) where you will find in post #9 I include this image

The use of the custom color ramp is shown in post #11 with a preview of that post here.
