8.2 VI with traditional daq does not run under 8.5

Hello,
I tried to start a VI in LV8.5.1 which was developed under LV8.2 with traditional daq. Surprisingly the traditional daq VIs are not installed with the 8.5.1. I copied the daq library and browsed manually to the necessary dlls, but it's still not working. Isn't LabVIEW not backwards compatible to older versions anymore?
What could I try to get it running (except of a new development in 8.5)?

...got it ;-)))  I closed every SubVI contained the "missing" dlls and the main instance, restarted the main instance.....and it works.
Sorry for posting this question too fast.
