9148 SW Install Problem

Trying to install NI-9148. Upgraded from 2009 to 2011 Devsuite. MAX sais RIO is 4.0. When running the 9148 SW Installer Utility, RIO 3.2 is available (version for 2009) and not 4.0.

Hello jBMW,

This is Andrew Brown, an Applications Engineer from National Instruments. I assume you are referring to the Add/Remove software process with your NI 9148 ethernet RIO chassis. For the sake of clarity, I would appreciate if you could post the following:

1. Under the "Software" section of your "My System", can you please post a screenshot of the NI-RIO version you have installed?

2. Under that same section, if you expand LabVIEW 2011 it shows the additional toolkits you have installed. Can you please post a screenshot of the modules you have installed with LabVIEW 2011?

Normally, if you have both LabVIEW Real-Time and NI-RIO you should be able to add those software versions to the device. Thanks in advance!

9148 doesn't require RT Module. I am in the process of installing all related RT drivers.

Problem resolved. Uninstalled all 2009 SW/Driver ( not SP1 version ) and installed all RT Driver Components for 2011. Uninstall 2009 components from Windows is inadequate. Not sure if removal of 2009 is required, try with it first. RT Module is not installed. Working on some code to test the 9148.
