AMTI output

Solved!

hello I am trying to use DSA amplifier with AMTI force plate. I am using the analog output of the DSA , connected it with SCB-68 and then acquiring the data in labview using PCI-6224.

but the voltage do not read correctly. is there anything i am missing .Please if anybody has work on this kind of stuff..please help.

Hey Sweety,

I have a few questions for you that should help us troubleshoot what is going on:

1. What exactly do you mean that the voltage doesn't read correctly? What range of values are you seeing and what were you expecting?

2. What LabVIEW code are running to test this? Are you using one of the provided examples?

3. Do you have a multimeter or a oscilloscope that you might be able to use to probe the lines from the analog output of the DSA? It would be good to check these voltage values here to see if they match up to what you are expecting.

Regards,

Lars

Hello ,

thanks for the reply . The violtage do not match at all. can you please explain if there is any scaling method which i can use to match these values.

Thank-you

You did not answer a single one of Lars' questions. Let's try again. What is the exact voltage that you are measuring? What is the exact voltage that you expect? How is this sensor connected to the DSA? With an external instrument, what is the exact voltage you measure at the input to the DSA? What is this DSA that you are using? How is it wired? How did you connect to the SCB-68? How did you have the 6224 configured?

hello,

I should see a voltage of 119.5 mv at the amti Db-25 pin. but i see 355 mv at that point.

then at the Daq output i see sth like 208.5 mv. i am really confused.please do help.

So the amti output goes to the DSA and the amti output is incorrect? That sounds like a question for amti then unless someone familiar with that sensor sees this post. You might also check how you have the DSA wired.

i connected the SCB-68 in direct route way . and i configured it in differential mode with scb-68 as an accessory

Hey Sweety,

What hardware are you using exactly? Specifically, what is the make and model of the DSA amplifier and the AMTI sensor?

Also, how exactly do you have these wired up?

hello ,

You see I connected the DSA amplifier with the scb -68 using a DB 25 connector.

The problem is the voltage I measure across the pin for eg 68 and 34 is 20 mv ( digital multimeter ) but with MAX it is 14 mv.

The jumper settings I did are as seen in the word document i attached.

Are there any settings in MAx i am doing wrong?

I tried RSE .NRSE and even differential but nth seems to work .Please help

Your screenshot image did not come through as it is located on your hard drive.  You must attach the image file to your post just like you did for your .doc file.
