I can confirm that it still exists in 8.5.1...  I'm going to have to do some serious restructuring to get by this as well.

Well, you can hope the react to this thread.... They given the bug a number,
CAR #4H7H2QCL, so it is traceable. This also means it is on there to do
list, but there is no telling what priority they given it. Probably a low
priority, since it is obscure stuff. They won't make a fix just for this
problem, so you could also check the resolved bug lists for new versions or
patches. The CAR# should be mentioned in the bug fix list if it's fixed...
