ActiveX

Does anybody know what book I would be able to purchase that would explain in detail how to use ActiveX in LabVIEW? Or do I just have to keep testing till I find what I am looking for?

How about starting here: ActiveX and LabVIEW. There's also a section in the LabVIEW Help. Have you looked in there? There are also a number of examples that ship with LabVIEW. If you're having a specific problem, then try posting your question and someone can try to help.

I have written an automated test. I used activex to write the data into an excel spreadsheet. What I need to do now is before the data is written into the spreadsheet, choose which worksheet in the file it will be written to.

Ah, now we're being more specific. That's better. Your question, then is really more of how to use the Excel object model, and doesn't really have anything to do with LabVIEW. If you search these forums for "excel" you will find tons of examples, as this question comes up about 2 or 3 times a week. In fact, your specific question has already been answered. You will also find lots of examples (including a user-contributed set of VIs) in the Excel thread.
