Acuvim L series Modbus

I have an Acuvim L series meter and I would like to read the data via modbus with LabVIEW 8. I am not familiar with Modbus. Is it possible to use the RS485 port on the Acuvim and via RS232 converter get data into LabVIEW?

Yes you can use an RS-232/485 converter to communicate between the 2 serial protocols.  If you haven't seen it, search NI.com for the NI modbus libraries.  It has examples of Modbus communication along with the subVI's.
