Adam 4017 module, need acquisition help/example

Hi

I have to do some acquisition from a Adam 4017 acquisition module. I connect to it through a Adam 4520 rs-232 -> rs-485 converter.

Have anyone done some similar/equal acquisition with this module or similar modules and could you please post an example for me to get started?

We got it to work now using LV8.5. We just made a regular serial communication to the device over the COM-port, this worked fine. However the example in LabView did not work in this case.

I believe the VIs for serial communication would be the same in LV7.

Hi everyone,

I have a similar problem as decried above. A ADAM 4520 connected via serial to my PC and 2 ADAM 4068 (ON/OFF) and one ADAM 4017 connected to the converter. ADAM utility shows that say are communicating just fine.

But now it comes ... I have never used LabView before but I do have a LabView 8.5.1 student version for my uni lab work. (which I like to use)



Could PLEASE anyone help and describe how i get the modules talk to LabView? SCMAJA, how have you solved the problem? Do you use VISA?
