I'm working on a I2C interface and I'm having trouble with the 8.6 not showing the NI-845X pallet under the instrument I/O section. I have it in my 8.0 version of LabView but not in 8.6. I have the pod installed on the system I'm developing on but that doesn't seem to cause LabView to load the function pallet with the SPI, DIO, & I2C VI's. Any ideas why?

Gary,
I have 2 guesses:
a) You have an older version of the NI-845x drivers that does not provide support for LabVIEW 8.6
b) You installed LabVIEW 8.6 after installing the NI-845x drivers (this means that 8.6 support for the drivers were not included when 845x was installed, and you must re-run the installer for 845x. Note that this istru of most drivers when upgrading LabVIEW)
Both of these scenarios can be rectified by downloading and installing the latest version of NI-845x from here.
Good luck!

Happy Holiday Peter,
Thank you for the heads up on the NI-845x drivers. The NI-845x software was in post the 8.6 installation but it didn't seem to make the difference on this one. I downloaded the latest version of NI-845x 1.1.3 and that did change the function pallet and now I have the functions showing up in the "Instrument I/O" pallet. Thanks again I've been trying to get these functions into my 8.6 version for about two weeks. I was hoping that I could just copy the NI-845x LLB from the "Instrument I/O" file into my version's "Instrument I/O" file and I would have it but that didn't work.
Now back to work on the I2C interface!
Many Thanks for your help and a Happy New Years!

Hello Julio3745,
I'm sorry to say I'm unable to help you because we are still using XP. But is you reply to Peter Flores who answer my question before then he may have the answer. I had to down load the library from the National Instrument web site you may want to search that for an answer.
Best Regards,
Gary Tyrna

According to this page, it is supported. Not sure of any problems you should be seeing off the bat, what types of problems are you seeing? Can you include more details and/or screenshots?
Thanks!
