Adlink PCI-7296 Driver for LabVIEW Integration

Hello NI Community,

I’m working on a project that requires using an Adlink PCI-7296 digital I/O card with LabVIEW, but I’ve hit a roadblock.

  • NI doesn’t seem to provide a native driver for this card (it’s not listed under NI-DAQmx or other standard drivers).
  • I checked Adlink’s site and found references to DAQPilot and DAQ-LVIEW Plus, but I’m not sure which one is best for LabVIEW integration or if anyone here has experience using them.

Questions:

  1. Does anyone have the official Adlink PCI-7296 driver or SDK that works with LabVIEW?
  2. Any tips on integrating this card with LabVIEW (e.g., using Call Library Function Node, ActiveX, or OPC)?
  3. If you’ve done this before, what was your setup and workflow?

Any guidance, links, or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated!

To clarify, your hardware was made by Adlink and not NI and hence it is Adlink's responsibility to provide drivers for the Tech stacks (LabVIEW, C++, C#, Python, Rust, Java etc.,) for the user to be able to use it and not NI's responsibility.

Is there a reason why you believe it is NI's responsibility to provide driver for hardware made by someone that NI may not have a connection with?

my quick 2-min search brought up this page - DAQ-LVIEW PnP | Software and Drivers | ADLINK
