Are 3D Picture Controls and Scene Displays the same?

Are 3D Picture Controls and Scene Displays the same?  If so how do you change a 3D picture control to a Scene Display?  If you have never seen this before there is an example under help, search for "3D" and the example is called solarsystem.vi that uses the 3D scene display.  -SS

They're the same. The indicator was just renamed. Smiley Wink The "Create Object" subVI is responsible for creating a new scene object which gets drawn onto the 3D Picture Control

smercurio,

This was my first impression until I noticed a difference in the operate value tool selection?  In one you get the classic pointing hand in the other you get a rotation, with shift key pressed you get zoom, and with control key you get a pan icon?

Can you explain what property node causes this behavior?  -SS

Add Camera Controller -> Flying and Camera Controller -> Oriented to the list.

Thanks for clearing that up.  -SS
