Started here since I don't know what hardware I need to look at for this. I need to implement a system to monitor the air pressure at multiple key points in my compressed air system. Since we have multiple compressors in different locations and they run on varying cycles, I need to make sure I don't see excessive pressure drops in specific areas depending on which equipment is in operation.
I need to use Labview or Labview Developer Suite as I won't be able to budget any more software. While I know I can use a traditional multipurpose DAQ tied to a computer, this is a bit cumbersome for this application and I would like to use something more self contained. I am not familiar with the other types of hardware so instead of spending hours and hours researching it all, I thought I would ask the host of experts here. Budget is not wide open but I do have some discretion of money vs. time to implement. I need probably 4-5 analog inputs and can use ethernet communication if needed and perhaps even wireless.
Any thoughts on which hardware would be best suited for this application wouild be greatly appreciated.
Thanks....... Doug

I would look at the cDaq module (voltage or current depending on the sensor) and the single ethernet carrier this is not scalable but is convienent and can be accessed remotly via ethernet cable. A local sales agent will be a good place to start.
