Bridge Configuration on Strain Gauge Assignment

Hi,

In a Strain Gauge Rosette Arrangement,i'm not able to know what should be the Bridge Configuration to be used,(i went thru a software package,in that i found that when i configure a Rosette arrangement,there was no option of Selecting Bridge configuration)Should it be configured default as a Full Bridge?If anyone can give information on this it will be helpful.

The Rosette strain gauge arrangement consists of separate bridges - one for each direction that you are measuring. I found an Agilent manual that describes this for a 3-element Rosette:

It describes the measurement as three 1/4 bridge measurements.

Murali,

The bridge completion you should use is determined by the type of strain gages that comprise the rosette. If they are quarter bridge strain gages, you will want to use quarter bridge completion, etc.
