Browser crash

Solved!
Go to solution

After using a remote VI panel in web browser, when i close the page (by closing browser, closing tab, or going to other web page), the browser crashes with this error message:

Fatal internal error: "MemoryManager.cpp", line 437

 LabVIEW version 8.6

This happens with both Firefox 3 and IE 6 (Windows 2000 and XP)

Hi Snamprogetti

Are you using LabVIEW 8.6 only or any other LV module/toolkit?

I used remote front panel on different pcs and it works properly. In every machine I have the updated version of IE7 and Windows XP sp2.

May you verify if your browsers are up to date?

Greatings

I'm using Real Time on a cRIO 9014 with Scan Mode (no FPGA programming for now). The webserver is on the cRIO.

The VI that causes the crash is mainly a chart visualizer. I tried with small dummy VIs and it didn't crash.

Firefox is up to date, IE is version 6.

This is a known issue (CAR ID 127044) that has been fixed in the new LV RT 8.6.1 update release (see the LV RT 8.6.1 Readme File)

Since you have got LV 8.6 I'm quite confident you have got the SSP too. Thus you are going to receive the last LV version in few days, if you didn't receive yet!

In case, you can contact your NI sales reference and verify the possibilities for the upgrade to the new version.

Have a good time!
