Then I use the "sound input stop.vi" in Labview 9.x the task ID get invalid afterwards. The use of the latter function works as expected in at least Labview 8.6.
I have made a simple VI in Labview 8.6 to describe the problem

I have the same feeling. But that do not bother NI. They do not care about this part in the Labview development system.

Hi all,
thank you so much for bringing up this issue. I'm sorry for the delay in answering to your post. A week back I created a Corrective Action Request to bring this issue up to our R&D department. This report has our reference; car# 226856.
Best regards,

Hey "Coq Rouge",
I also replaced my lvsound2.dll and lvsound.dll files ("C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2010\resource\lvsound2.dll" and "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2010\resource\lvsound.dll") with the respective files from LabVIEW 8.6 folder.
But the problem continues with that same Error 4823 in the "Sound Input Read.vi".
What did you exactly do in your workaround, can you explain please?
Thanks ahead!

Was this resolved? Please let me know, as I am having the same issue and trying to replace the sound.dll files, but having a little trouble.
