Build does not set modal window property

I am using LabVIEW 8.5 and am building an EXE.

I have several windows where setting the modal property during the build does not work.  There are about 20 modal windows in all in the build and all but 3 are set to modal properly in the EXE.  If I set the modal property directly on these VIs the modal property remains set in the build, which is an acceptable work-around.

Any ideas as to why this will not work by setting the property during the build?  I have recently upgraded to 8.5 from 7.1 and this was never a problem in 7.1.  It would certainly be nice to not have to perform the work-around mentioned above.

Hi Chris,

I'm sorry to hear that the modal property does not seem to be setting correctly.  Is it always the same three VIs that need to be set separately from the build specification?  If you create another project with those three VIs, does setting them to be modal through the executable work then?  Also, were all of your VIs converted from LabVIEW 7.1? 

If you are able to post your code, particularly the VIs that are not setting properly, I would be happy to see if I get the same behavior.
