Calculating exponential rate

Dear all,

The goal of my research is to calculate the exponential rate of 4 peaks. I thought that I managed to do this. But it is not giving a normal rate at all!

Is there nog easy way to calculate an exponential rate in labview?

I added the things that I've done already. Also a raw datafile has been added. Could somebody please have a look at my work untill now? Cause i'm really lost!

Thanx a lot!

Hi Martijn,

Since the VI is so big, it is not possible for us to debug, or to look where the VI goes wrong. If you explain more what the exponential rate is, maybe we can help you to look if there is another way to do this.

Best regards,

Your code is pretty incomprehensible to me. Lots of loops without any delays, lots of growing arrays in uninitialized shift register, no instructions on how to operate it.

Why don't you make it into a logical state machine with three states:

  1. data input
  2. data selection (e.g. use cursor change events)
  3. data fitting

Most likley 2&3 can be combined so you see the fits while selecting the data.

Anyway, looking at the data, you seem to have an exponential with offset. The exponential fit you are using only includes amplitude and rate and is thus unsuitable for your purpose.

Can you explain how to operate your program?
