Calling .m file from Labview

When I call a Matlab .m file from Labview 8.6 version VI I get the error, 1407. When I intially used this VI I used it with Matlab 7.7 version and it worked, but then I had to install Matlab 7.0 version in my computer. I checked the registry files and under matlab application the correct installed version is identified. Do anyone could give me some tips to sort this out. I think the problem lies in the fact that I installed a lower version of Matlab and some how Labview is finding it difficult to communicate with that version. I dont know how to fix this though..
