Can I change the default label visibility, colors, etc of block diagram objects?

I followed your link to the quickdrop shortcut, downloaded it, then bookmarked it for later. Now it tells me that I am not authorized to view that page. Specifically: "It appears you're not allowed to view what you requested. You might contact your administrator if you think this is a mistake." What the heck happened?

I guess using templates is the easy way. I don't understand what you mean by copy paste type templates here but you can have the templates in the common place (NI vi library folder) from that whenever you want you can create a vi out of it what is tough in it. Normally you can add sub vi's to a function palette but you cannot create a function as you said and add it to the palette.

I can see why the Idea Exchange is such a valuable resource. I don't know about you, but I love shortcuts with a passion and it's always nicer when they are natively provided rather than 3rd party. "First principles" development sounds horrible if you lean heavily on 3rd party tools that have no hope of being made 1st party. I don't envy people that have to work in high-sec facilities.

My first guess is that due to the let's say "personality" of the NI Community Pages that you were perhaps logged off.  Make sure that you are logged in, and if that does not work, your guess is probably as good as mine.
