Can I connect to FP-2015 using Labview 2017?

HI folks,

I'm new to LabVIEW. I am a mature student studying instrumentation and industrial automation. I have a field point 2015 with some digital and analog input and output cards and I am designing VI so I would like to see if I can connect via my computer to test out my VI. Is this possible with LabVIEW 2017? I feel like I'm running in circles trying to figure this out.

I don't think you can.

Fieldpoint drivers only go up to version 15.5.  And that only allows you to use LabVIEW up to 2015 SP1.

You'll need to install LV 2015, (or any version back to LV 2012)

Thanks very much for that, I was hoping that it would be backwards compatible. I'm actually surprised its not.

NI is no longer updating Fieldpoint drivers.  In order to support newer versions of LabVIEW, FP drivers would need to be updated.
