Can I have both Traditional DAQ and DAQmx installed?

I am knew to labview. I have a program that was developed with and earlier version of Labview and Traditional DAQ, and another program that runs with DAQmx. We need to run the two programs in the same computer. Could I have both traditional DAQ and DAQmx installed?

Hi,

Yes you can install both Traditional DAQ and DAQmx on the same PC. Yet few hardwares will not support traditional DAQ. Look at here for more details https://www.ni.com/en/support/documentation/supplemental/06/answers-to-frequently-asked-questions-ab....

Hope this helps you.

Despite the earlier comments.  There are some issues with running two applications developed with different LabVIEW versions.  Traditional DAQ and DAQmx do co-exist in the DAQmx driver.  The specific revision of the DAQmx driver (and you can have only ONE revision installed at a time!!!!) will support only a limited sub-set of equipment and LabVIEW revisions.  here is a link to the DAQ compatability matrix.  If you post more information about the programms I can help further.  What LabVIEW versions were the apps developed in?  Are they deployed exe's or does the machine run source code in the IDE? what hardware?
