Can I run Labview version 5.0 on Windows 2000?

I have been running Labview version 5.0 on Windows NT 4.0 and using it for data acquisition with an AT-MIO-16E-10 DAQ board.
Since then, I have updated my operating system to Windows 2000 Professional.
I am trying to re-install Labview 5.0.
Would this work? Do I need any additional patches/updates to make it work?

I believe you will be fully able to install 5.0 on W2k, but as you are probably the first to try this, please post any issues you have here.

Also, are you aware that an upgrade, even to 6.1, only costs $395 (last time I checked)? Its very well worth it. 6 and 6.1 added some incredibly useful tools and utilities that really speed development.

You may also have to upgrade NI-DAQ to a version that supports Win2K. You'll also have to check to make sure that your DAQ card is still supported.

I have Used Labview 5.0 on Win 2K. Subsequently Upgraded to 6.1.

When you install It will Give you Message Wrong OS. You Continue the Install anyway. Secondly, to Make it Work - You will Need to Download Patches or Upgrades.
Depending What version you Have you May have to Go from 5.01 to 5.1 and then to 5.1.1. Also If you want to Have App Builder then First Install AppBuilder and then Update with Patches,so App Builder gets Updated too.

I believe you need Version 5.1.1 to Work in Win 2K.
And I think you may be able to Upgrade to it, by downloading.

And Yes I went From Labview 5.0 Base to 6.1 Full Dev System With App Builder For 1195/-.

Also you may need VISA or DAQ W2K Versions If you use any of them.

Good Luck!!
