I already installed LabVIEW 2012 (which probably the RTE is 2012), but I trying to install LabVIEW 8.6.
I could not install this old version. but I saw on the another discussion that it says that RTE maybe is corrupt.
So, I downloaded RTE 8.6.1 from ni website. I couldn't install it because there's higher version already installed.
What should I do now? Uninstall LabVIEW 2012 and RTE 2012 and then install RTE 8.6.1 for LabVIEW 8.6?
What can you suggest guys?
There are quite a few mixed messages in your post...
Why do you want to install a run time engine if you actually want to install an older LabVIEW version? (your first sentence).
The "newer version already installed" occured when you tried to install the run time engine. What kind of error did you get when trying to install LabVIEW 8.6? (No you don't give us any useful information about that!).
You quoted "another discussion". Can you at least give a link?
Assuming you need the 8.6.1 run time engine to run a 8.6 executable. What happens if you try to simply run that executable?
