Can I update old library files to new format for LabView 7.1 or later?

 Hello,
I have LabView 6i, 6.1, & 7.1 installed on my PC.  In using LabView 7.1 I use the function pallet to select a VI to use.  I selected "system exec.vi" under communications for example.  This particular VI appears to be made in an earlier version of LabView.  I place it in my program.  When I need a control for an input I usually point to the input and then right-click the mouse and select "create" and then "control".  The creates an exact copy of the control that exists in the VI I'm connecting to.  In this case, the control is an older style that doesn't match with the new 7.1 controls.  The same is true for the indicators.

Please disregard this message along with the duplicates.  I have a new Logitech Wireless keyboard and I mistyped something and multiple threads showed up before I was finished.

Thanks, Scott

OK, I must be in dense mode, but I can't quite figure out what it is that you're asking. Your post questions was "Can I update old library files to new format for LabView 7.1 or later?". The answer is of course - just do a mass compile on a copy so that you still have the earlier version. This won't change the style of the controls, which is what you seem to be talking about in the body of the post. If you're asking if you can automagically change the styles of the controls, a mass compile won't do that.

UPDATE: Never mind. The poster created a new thread with more info after I posted this.
