Can I use LabView to implement an array of microphones for localization of sound?

Harsha,

Thank you for using NI forums! The DI-158U is not a National Instruments device. However, we do have many devices that can collect data from a microphone. You can also view our cDAQ option here. Let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

I made a very simple detection of sound, using array microphones of Playstation Eye. Taking the phase of principal frecuency and comparing to other, but is still incomplete because now I need putting into a for loop to corroborate the phase detected.

The link is old, I am interested in building a system for sound localization measurements.  Anyway you can refresh the link or help with with a source of current information .  I am using a USB-4431 and would like to be able to determine if sound is coming from one side of a property line or another.  I would think I should be able to do it with 4 far field microphones.  Any help out there?

Thanks

What sort of information do you need? At its core, you have four analog inputs that you are going to be analyzing relative to one another. You should start a new thread with more detail on your question. You are real lucky I stumbled into your question...
