You should be able to modify the control slider to do that. The value would output 0 to 10 as you indicte for voltage but change the slider control to not display the numeric values with the ticks. The use free text to lable the tick marks. I don't know if you can actualy have the control equal to the same value in two different slider postions, but if you need to have 180 to 0 to 180, make the range have negative values and convert them to positive values in code. You will still have to not show the slider values and use free text.

for Ben,
What version of Labview does the Compass require? I'm working with Labview 7.0 Express and when I try to recreate the Compass Text Lables Labview crashes. I followed the link and downloaded the compass.vi. Ran it as is and the W S E disapear from the gauge and never reappear and N is replaced with 90. Adding the Text Lables as shown in Properties only caused N E S W to appear in the gauge digital display.
for Paul,
With my version of Labview 7.0 Express it won't operate with the two values 180.

See attached LV 7.0 example where I have made the marker values the default of the FP control.
have fun!
