Can i add add-on PXI 6239 card to existing PXI 8106 chassis with 2 PXI 6239 cards already in place

Hello

We use PXI system for our hydraulic test stand. Right with PXI 8106 chassis , there are 2 PXI 6239 card which is giving us to 2 * 8 AI's = 16 AI

We have a requirement for more AI channels, So can i add 1 or 2 more PXI 6239 cards to the existing one,,,so that in total AI's will be 32

If yes, then what all Hardware is required ? There are 3 more slots in PXI 8106 Chassis which are empty....

Please post your suggestions for this AI channel upgradation....

first of please note that this question does not refer to LabVIEW, therefore it should not be posted here (Multifunction DAQ would be the board to post).

Nevertheless, an answer:

Yes, if you have enough free slots, you can insert more 6239 devices in the PXI. The limit is the number of slots available in the chassis.

All you need are the additional devices and the appropriate connection devices (cable and connector block).

The biggest change will affect your software. In regard to the current solution, it is maybe very easy to include additional device, but maybe you have to do a major rework......
