Can't Split Signals from DAQ Assistant

I am reading three RTDs from a NI 9217 by using the DAQ assistant. I have tried to split the signals with the "Split Signals."  However, when I expand the icon to three outputs, it only gives me 1 output node to connect to instead of three.  How do I correct this?

Hi NT_Engine...,

the "Split Signals" function is absolut correct for it. Resize it only bottom-up, then it works.

What I have noticed is that with the Split Signal function, you need to wire from the indicator to the output terminal of the Split Signal (at least in 8.5). I have no idea why the automatic tool selection does that but it's just one more reason to avoid anything to do with dynamic data.

I see what you mean.  In LV 8.5.1.  See attachment.  Only the top connector shows a connection.  The 2nd and 3rd don't.  You can't wire from them to another icon such as another waveform graph.  But you can wire from another icon TO the connector and it connects up.

It looks fine in LV 8.6.

Is this a LV 8.5.1 bug?

Hi all,

This behavior has been noted and documented here (LabVIEW 8.5.x Known Issues).  Search for The Split Signals function does not properly generate output terminals.  You are correct in noting that this issue has been fixed in LabVIEW 8.6.

There is a work around listed for 8.5.x.  (It being to expand the Split Signals connector from the top instead of the bottom.)

Mike,

Is this what you meant about resizing from "bottom up"?
