Can't write Excel file with Vista

I'm using LV 2011 and the latest MS Office Toolkit writing an Excel file to the network, or the local C drive. In Windows XP it works fine, but on 2 computers running Vista, the file does not get written. The vi recognizes that the file may already exist, and prompts to replace it, and when answered with yes, it deletes orginal file w/o replacing it, and no error messages. If the previous Excel file doesn't exist, the vi executes with no error messages and does not write any Excel file. I saw several posts on the Labview forum about this problem with no solution. Any help?

Does this happen no matter what path you try saving to?

I tried 1 local network path AND the local C drive. Same results.. actually, NO results. A colleage just advised that SOMETIMES he CAN write the Excel file using Vista, but it's unpredictable.

That is strange that it is intermittent. I'm posting from my phone and just realized that you posted on breakpoint. Nothing is off topic here but you will have better luck on the LabVIEW board. Also attach your code there.

I originally saw similar posts on the Labview board with no solution proposed, but responders suggested that they post that problem on the EXCEL board, which is where I thought I was when I posted this. I don't know how I got to "breakpoint" board.

Ah yes I forgot about the Excel Board. Actually that is a thread here on breakpoint.

This message should not be posted in the Excel thread.  That thread is just a repository of links to other threads that give useful examples for interacting with Excel.

This message should definitely be in the LabVIEW board.

I think this can be related to a permission for writing file. Just to be sure, are you a administrator of this machine? Windows change a lot the write permission between xp and vista.
