I can only echo Lil' Putt's (Putnam's

) comments. LV is easy to get started with, but that initial ease can be deceptive. It is a fully functional programming language and the more you know about good structured programming techniques, the better. As in a lot of things, "...the devil is in the details..." Still if you are a good tech it's something that you can certainly learn. In my experience, the only people that seem to have problems programing in LV are CS types - one guy I knew with a CS degree spent weeks searching for the secret key combination that would open a window showing the "real" source code. Just couldn't get his head wrapped around the idea of the block diagram being the source code.
The main thing to remember is that every programming environment requires its own way of thinking, so your first goal needs to be to learn to think in LV.
