Can you get the phase difference of two signals in Labview 8.5?

Solved!

Hi,

I am trying to find the phase difference between two input ports of an NI USB-4431 DAQ.

I want to use the one output port of the 4431 and feed that into one of the 4431's inputs, then receive a signal from a piece of equipment into a second input on the 4431 and compare the two.

I am trying to open VIs with the 'phase difference' function in them, but whenever I try open those VIs it comes up saying they are a newer version of labview. I also can't find the 'phase difference' function in my version of labview. Is it possible to find the phase difference in LV 8.5? Thanks

If you are using LabVIEW 8.5 and grab the "extract single tone information" from the palette, it should also be in 8.5 unless your installation is messed up. Do you have 8.5 base, full, or pro?

You did not explain your signal. Of course the shown code is only useful if the signal is sinusoidal and has one main frequency component. In the most general case, a signal has many frequencies, each with it's own phase (and thus phase difference).
