Can you open version 8.6 files with version 8.2?

Hello,

I have Labview version 8.2.1 installed. Is there a way for me to open a VI built in version 8.6?

Hi Benjamin,

Thanks for the post and I hope your well today.

There is not away to open new VIs in older versions of LabVIEW. If you attach the LV8.6 code, I can open it in LabVIEW 8.6 and save it to LabVIEW 8.2 (save to Previous version).

 In Labview 8.6 it is possible to save for previous version down to 8.0, as mentioned by Hillman. So if you know the person behind the VIs you may ask him/her to use the save for previous version option. If you do not know the source post your VIs in a new thread and ask for some conversion to Labview 8.2 help.
