We have an appliction in 8.2 that uses the VISA serial utilities. In XP Pro, the front panel I/O ring when set to "Refresh" will not find a serial port. This includes both internal and USB converter ports. Both show up as ok in Windows Device Manager. The application is unblocked. this occurs in both exectuables and development versions. It ONLY occurs on XP Pro (multiple systems) not on XP Home. XP Home works fine. It returns error codes not recognized by Labview using the "search for VISA" vi.
