Change slide indicator from straight line to arc

I would like to change the path of the pointer on a slide indicator from a straight line to an arc. Can this be done ? I have tried importing different shapes for the slide bar, but the slide bar stays rectanglular with the imported new shape in the rectangular boundary. I even tried modifing the meter indicator, but cannot change the arc radius.
Any thoughts on this topic would be appreciated.

Maybe you can do that more easily if you modify the "Meter" control instead.
