Chronic loss of connections to RT engine on cRIO

I am losing my connection to the RT engine very regularly on my cRIO, to the point that it is seriously interfering with programming and troubleshooting efforts. Support engineers @ NI (Austin and Houston) working with me have also noted "this should not happen so often"...Anyone else having this problem or aware of any HW or SW issues with the cRIO-9002 in combo with FPGA cRIO-9102?

I seem to have fixed the loss of RT connection issue by updating the NI-RIO SW to version 1.3, now having other problems which I will discuss in anoter post.
