Close VISA afer read VISA property?

Solved!
Go to solution

I have a TCPIP VISA in my application and I found if I don't call ' VISA close function' after read the property of VISA, my application will generate some problems. Please see the attached pic.

Does that means Even I don't open the VISA before, I still need to close VISA after I call the property note?

An explicit VISA Open has been optional for quite a few years. Any VISA function will cause a session to be automatically created so you should do a close.

I have to agree that NI support is very good, but please don't make the mistake of thinking that Dennis is NI. He (and all of the contributors with gold theme icon under their names) is/are just volunteers that are trying to help out.
