Did you mean:

Common users can't use LabVIEW DSC features.

After I installed DSC with the administrator account, I noticed the common users unable to use some vis such like "Write Tag( Analog).vi" though that is listed in the function palette and I can use that without any problem in the administrator account. And what's more weird is it even asks me to input passwd when I use my administrator account to look at the diagram of that vi.
Anyone experienced this before?

Steven,

Could you please elaborate on "unable to use some VIs?" Does this mean the user is trying to create a new VI or simply run/open an existing one? Do you see an error message? Broken arrow? Other symptom? As for the diagram password, this is true for all of the VIs from the toolset, but should not occur with VIs that you create.

Thank you for your reply. Let me detail my question once again. I installed DSC add-ons in the pc with administrator account. And everything is fine when I use this admnistrrator account. But when other common users try to use those "standard" existing sub-vis related to the DSC, such like "Write Tag(Analog)", I mean when they try to open that file, they are asked to locate some other sub-vis and dll files, actually the users could not find those files, and if they click "cancel" instead of "yes" in the pop-up window, for all the "locating file" prompts, they will finally get that desired sub-vi with broken arrow on it, of course the broken arrow means there are some missing related sub-vis inside.
But if using administrator account, this problem never h
appens.

Try changing one of the user accounts to power user. If this is not acceptable and your machine is NTFS, give the users modify permissions for the entire National Instruments directory. If neither of these will solve your problem, please tell me your version of DSC and operating system.
