Computer Randomly Reboots - Nidmmk.dll?

Please generate a MAX report as mentioned in the previous post.  What are drivers are you calling in your code?  Try running a regular DMM shipping example and see if the computer crashes and repeat with a PXI 4351 example.  Is the process described above the only way you receive the blue screen?

The attached zip file is a MAX report using file->create report->technical support with a .vi and .dmp files attached.  Is there a different kind of report you are looking for?

The AcquireThermistors2.vi is a slight variation of the NI supplied 4351 example, tailored to the thermistors in my setup.

Were you able to reproduce the blue screen with the steps in the post?

Hugh

Hi Hugh,

It do not think that your attachment made it to the reply.  Also, are you able to run any 4351 unmodified examples without any errors?

I'm back and so is my same issue.  Nidmmk.dll causing random reboots.  System is XP SP2.  Labview 8.0, License Mngr 3.1, Teststand 3.5.

I don't use this software but have been asked to fix.  I would like to load the latest version of the Nidaq driver (previously mentioned) but have no idea if I should download the legacy driver I found or something different.  Can you tell me what is the latest version I need and possibly provide me the link so I can go directly to it so I don't choose the wrong update?

antonelli7,

DAQmx 9.0.2 is the newest DAQmx drivers and DAQ 7.4.4 is the newest legacy driver. I would install the DAQmx drivers.

Hi sszewczyk,

Can you provide some detailed information on the problem you are experiencing. On page one of this forum Hugh was able to find a very specific set of steps to reproduce the crash. Can you try and find a reproducible set of steps for your issue? What version of LabVIEW are you using?

Regards,
