Hello everyone,
I'm planning to connect a Type K thermocouple to an NI USB-6000. However, based on my research, it seems to be a bit challenging.
I’d like to ask if anyone here has experience with this setup.
What would be the proper method to connect the thermocouple, and how can I accurately read the temperature values?
Thanks in advance.

Thermocouple voltages are small and relative to the cold junction voltage. Easiest would be to to get a thermocouple amplified that includes cold junction compensation and outputs a scaled voltage. They are cheap.

Reading thermocouples is not as simple as reading an analog voltage.

The USB-6000 is not designed to directly read thermocouples as it lacks cold junction compensation.
