Constant labels snapping

Hi guys

I've noticed a cosmetic change in LV's behavior since version 8.5. When I'm using labels of constants, the snapping to preset positions of the terminal does not work the same way it did before. The labels are always one pixel shifted in both directions. For labels of controls, it works the same way it used to in LV 8.2.1, though I think the initial letter of the label should be shifted one pixel to the right. Please have a look at my images, comparing the snapped labels placement in LV 8.2.1 and 8.5.

No, I dont see any difference in 8.5.

See attached pic.

I placed a control. Then I placed a constant from the Numeric pallette & Rt Clicked ->> Visible Items -->> Lable & then just typed Numeric in it, thats all.

It remains the same, I mean snapped alike the control.

Different file format of attached picture also, does that deserve extra stars?

edit:
on second thoughts, no, I think png is a far better choice!

Hi Partha

Have you tried to move the constant label and let it automatically snap to the constant terminal? That's the moment when the shift happens.

Has anyone from NI noticed this thread? Altough it's just a cosmetic issue, it seems to me like an unexpected behavior.

Hi Vladimir,

Please take a look at the rules posted in post #1 of the bug thread for how you can link this thread.

Anyone who finds a confirmed bug can post to that thread.

All links in that thread WILL get filled as CARs (Corrective Action Reports).

This is how all LV users can improve LV one bug at a time.

Dang it, issues like this really annoy me.

For one, I'm kind of a stickler for detail, so I usually notice these sorts of things pretty quickly.  I guess I missed this one though, I suppose I don't show the label of my constants frequently enough to have seen it.

Even worse though, once these issues are identified, it can be difficult to convince someone it's worth the effort to debug and fix in a timely manner.  I'll see what I can do.

This was reported to R&D (4EL9P41W) for further investigation.
