Hi There,
I'm based in the UK, and am thinking of looking for some part time (~10 hours/week) contract LabVIEW work. I really just want to gauge what the demand is at the moment, and to get a feel for what someone of my experience and ability can hope to charge.
I'm a degree qualified Electronic Design Engineer by day (M.Eng Hons. 2005), with 4 years' LabVIEW experience. I also recently qualified to CLD level.
My areas of LabVIEW expereience include deveoping design verification and production test solutions in a number of disciplines including: data acquisition, RF analysis, medical device testing, metrology and military communications.
Having looked at a couple of online salary surveys, it would seem that there is quite a wide range of hourly rates charged by contract LabVIEW developers. I really just want to get a rough guide of where I should be setting my aspirations.
Many Thanks,
Dan

Dan,
you should maybe post to the Job Openings forum for such information.
I would think from your description that you are looking for a comparison to an existing offer. So maybe the info you are looking for which will be rather difficult to get....

Hey Dan,
It may also be worth speaking to some of the NI Alliance Members. They are more likely to offer you work if you can back up your experience with some example code.
Good luck!
Regards,
Chris
